Carlsbad has got to be one of the most relaxing vacations we've been on in a while, the surfer town vibes radiated happiness and joy throughout our entire weekend getaway! The beautiful coastlines stretch for miles, and from March to May, you can find 50 acres of luscious flower fields that we got lost in for hours.

Just off the San Diego Freeway, we found the loveliest farm-to-table spot. It's called Toast!

Farm to table and supporting local business is something we look for in a restaurant, Toast is known for sourcing fresh farm ingredients, and all their bread comes from Bread & Cie - a local cafe and bakery. This super laid-back spot is home to cute murals, great food, and the friendliest staff!

Undoubtedly we ordered the avocado toast, a delicious chimichurri sauce, smashed avo, arugula, almonds, and a drizzle of olive oil. A delightful flavour combo that will blow your mind on the first bite. We also dipped into a sneaky side of fried potatoes, YUMMMMM!
