We love visiting the Lakeview area; it is so lively and the best of both worlds. You can enjoy the beautiful Lake Michigan and then, steps away, enter Chicago's entertainment hub. Nestled in Lakeview, we came across the most exquisite french bakery called Maison Marcel.

Maison Marcel is a stunning french bakery in the Lakeview neighbourhood of Chicago. We felt so inspired in this calming and bright boho space, just perfect for an afternoon bite. As you enter, the smell of croissants and roasted coffee is absolutely intoxicating.

Maison Marcel is serving up delectable fresh bites that will nourish your hunger upon the first bite. Of course, we had to order the avocado toast; a lovely tangy lemon dressing compliments the freshness of the greens and toast. It was such a rich and delicious flavour combination we almost ordered seconds!!

Being at a french bakery, we had to try the croissant, and the only thing we can say is "WOW." The crisp shell and the buttery layers are absolutely divine.
